Yesterday all the interior forms were stipped from the foundation, and boards stacked to be used for scaffolding again. The release agent used for the formwork was not diesel; as it is commonly used. A low VOC product was used. Today we followed with stripping the exterior face formwork as the small backhoe extracted soil from the interior of the foundations in order to leave a clear height for the foundation crawlspace of at least 24"; 6" additional inches (minimum 18") makes a considerable better place for plumbers, electricians, and insulation professionals to work in. The left over soil has been used to fill up the areas where there are elevated 5" concrete slabs.
