Finished installing a barrier system at crawlspace grade for termite control. A layer of 16 Grit sand 4"~6" Thk. and extending out 24" from the interior face of the stem wall foundation. Total 80 bags - 100 lbs. ea.  Having both systems; the termite shield atop the stem wall and the sand barrier will reduce considerably the presence of termites in the future. We also completed sealing all termite shield seams at all column piers.    

The trenches at the exterior face of the foundation wall have been cleared of dirt and debris. Tomorrow we will waterproof the concrete stem wall exterior face below grade with a sodium bentonite polymer on a geotextile fabric. Protecting the foundation from unnecessary moisture now is key in the lifetime and performance of this foundation.
