Mimi & I met with Chris Tosdevin this morning. Chris is who we worked with five years ago, designing the fabulous kitchen where we cook on today, on average 3+ meals a day. Discussed all aspects of our kitchen life; our frustrations, our desires, and basic therapy. Assembled a strong dialogue between the public and private areas of our kitchen and pantry program. We also brought to mind a detailed material and tectonic language for the project. Project budget, compromises and trade-offs were clearly addressed. Our ambitionl is a tastefu, modest, and practical kitchen which will stand the test of time, both aesthetically and physically.

Later met Randy Freedman from Window Center, and went throught the whole exterior window and door order to make last corrections before the purchase order goes through this week. Discarded mulling 2 juxtaposed windows to one sliding door leading to a roof deck and replaced it with a wider sliding door and a separate awning picture window consolidating fenestration throughout the house.

Afternoon meeting with Structural Engineers to discuss shear wall location replacement. Stemwall detail at Steel column solved.

Scheduled Structural Steel erection for Mon./ Tues. of next week. 10 day forecast promises no rain those two days.

More rain coming.
